Eproson Park’s Community Garden is the site of Tuolumne County’s newest Little Free Library. The family of the late Ralph Geissler, a Twain Harte Fire Department volunteer, installed and dedicated the library in his memory on September 27, 2019.

Repair work to the concrete apron and road in front of Twain Harte Fire Department’s fire house is complete. The repairs consisted of replacing a stretch of Cedar Drive, fixing the road’s drainage issues, making the concrete apron ADA compliant and improving pedestrian safety. Twain Harte Community Services District thanks Tuolumne County for partnering with the District to replace the road.

Twain Harte Community Services District (THCSD) in May put into service a raw-water draft point at its Shadybrook Reservoir. This new fire-emergency water source enhances the ability of THCSD’s Fire Department (THFD) to rapidly deliver water to fire incidents while protecting the treated water-delivery system.

Sonora Area Foundation (SAF) in May 2019 announced a matching grant to honor the memory of former District Board Director Jim Johnson, who passed away in March 2019. A project to rehabilitate and recoat one of the District's 1-million gallon tanks is now underway.  The tank, built in the 1960s, is a critical part of the District's water supply system.  It is the final stage of the water treatment process and is used to ensure our community has sufficient storage for normal operations, fires, and other emergencies.  Tank rehabilitation will allow this tank to…

A sewer line replacement project at Eproson Park near the stage and outdoor dance floor is now complete. The District contracted with Peterson Excavation in September to replace the approximate 250-foot stretch of 10-foot deep, 6-inch diameter sewer line for a total contract cost of $86,400. 

THFD takes a proactive role in promoting and encouraging community based wildfire preparedness.  As the upcoming Fire Season rapidly approaches, the THFD encourages all community members to prepare themselves and their properties in effort to reduce risk and possible damage from wildfire.
